“A B C D E F G…” We all remember singing the ABC song when we were young, and as we start to hear our own children learn and sing it, memories return of the excitement we felt when letters began to mean something and make sounds and then sounds formed words. How much fun and what a feeling of accomplishment it was when we could finally read a book on our own!

This is a journey that every child will go on, but it is important that it remains fun and interesting. These My Busy Bots bags mix learning letters and their sounds with fun activities to encourage little ones to engage and practise their skills, no matter what level they’re at.

This bundle is suitable for little ones from 4 - 6 years old. As all children develop in their own time, this is a guideline and may vary with your child.

Bag 1: are we there yet?

“3, 2, 1, GO!” The cars speed off down the track and disappear around the first bend...

Learning to write letters is vitally important. This My Busy Bots bag allows children to use their imagination as they drive their car around the track and form their lower case letters. It can be hard for new writers to know where to begin some letters, so starting at the traffic light and following the arrow will set them on the right track.

Contents:

  • 1 Booklet with the lower case Alphabet “a-z” and an information page with instructions, ideas to extend the activity and list of skills being developed
  • 1 Coloured race car
  • 1 Brightly coloured storage bag

Bag 2: Peg it!

“a” for apple, “b” for ball, “c” for cat... learning letter sounds. This opens up a wealth of possibilities: being able to read a word, a sentence and then a book. Equally being able to write your own! Our My Busy Bots bag uses bright, fun illustrations to capture your little ones imagination and attention, so they can identify the matching picture to each letter sound and pin a peg to it.

Contents:

  • 1 Information card with instructions, ideas to extend the activity and list of skills being developed
  • 26 Laminated letter sound cards A-Z
  • 26 Small coloured pegs
  • 1 Brightly coloured storage bag

Bag 3: Something beginning with...

“Moon, Monkey, Mouse!” Each child learns at a different pace, especially when it comes to letter sounds. This is why it’s essential we keep it fun and light-hearted. In this My Busy Bots bag little ones are introduced to amusing characters and images, which will help them identify the letter sound for each card, and place that letter on its matching card.
